Structural Design Solutions Limited provides a service to homeowners, or their architect, wishing to increase the size of their property or of the rooms within the existing building perimeter.
Invariably, the services of a structural engineer will not be required for the successful completion of a modest extension, or removal of non-loadbearing timber stud walls.
However, where ground conditions are problematic, or where the extension or refurbishment is such that supporting beams or other structural elements are necessary, then the advice of a structural engineer should be sought.
Generally working from home building plans, and in consultation with the homeowner or architect, our structural engineer will provide advice on the designs that would facilitate the most cost effective solution, giving consideration to practical limitations and aesthetic preferences.
Naturally, house extensions vary in size and complexity and, therefore, Structural Design Solutions Limited assesses each enquiry individually. A fee quotation will generally be provided over the phone, (to be confirmed in writing if acceptable), or by return e-mail.
