Structural Design Solutions Limited provides a service to homeowners wishing to provide their property with a stand-alone or attached garage.
Invariably, the services of a structural engineer will not be required for the construction of a standard sized pre-fabricated or brick built garage.
However, where ground conditions are problematic, or where the proposed garage or its doors are of a size that could create stability or loading problems, then the advice of a structural engineer should be sought.
Our services can include the preparation of garage building plans, in consultation with the homeowner, or be limited to the production of structural calculations, based on garage plans prepared by the homeowner or his architect, for example to reduce the dimensions of brick piers to a minimum, and to facilitate the most cost effective solution, giving consideration to practical limitations and aesthetic preferences.
Structural Design Solutions Limited assesses each enquiry individually, in consideration of the particular service required. A fee quotation will generally be provided over the phone, (to be confirmed in writing if acceptable), or by return e-mail.
